Math Test

Hi Parents,

I know several of you have been waiting patiently for the English portion of the mid-year math assessment. Unfortunately when I was grading them, I came across a problem. The day the students took the test, we had a volunteer in class. I told the volunteer it was okay to read the questions and explain what the question was asking. However, I noticed that the volunteer wrote on many of the tests, working through problems with the students. This makes it difficult for me to be able to tell what the students did independently. I have been going back and forth trying to decide what to do. I have decided to re-administer the test on Tuesday. I apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience. I will explain this to the children today. The test will be exactly the same.

Thank you,

Mrs. Roach

Protest signs

A few of you have been emailing me photos of your child working on their signs. Keep sending them! I love seeing them. I'll be posting them once everyone has turned them in on Monday.

Oh no.

Oh no! I'm sick. I caught the cold that has been going around. I'm really bummed out about it. Tomorrow Mrs. Zargaryan will be there in my place.

Have a good day tomorrow! I'll be missing everyone from home.

Homework

Hi everyone! Next Monday is the Mid-Year math assessment. This assessment is 50/50 English and Armenian. It will cover everything that we have learned in math up to now. I scanned a study guide from units 1-5 to help you study with your child. It is on the Homework page. You should be able to print it out. Please let me know if you have any trouble doing so.
Click here for the study guide

The study guide will be the only English homework this week. You do not need to turn it in until next Monday. This way you can keep it for the weekend if you choose to study with your child Friday- Sunday night.
